~Louis Boucher
Louis Boucher passed away at his home on High street, Barton, in the early hours of July 4th following a serious heart trouble of three months duration, the last two months of which had confined him to his bed.
He was born in Wolftown, Que., on September 24, 1870 to Louis Boucher and Vitaline Boissoneault. where his early boyhood was spent coming to Barton 55 years ago which place has since been his home.
He married Mrs. Albanie Courchaine. who survives. as well as two sisters. Miss Alice Boucher of Barton and Mrs. Leda Langevin of Claremont. N. H.
Mr. Boucher was employed as a day laborer and was always faithful and exacting in his work. He was well liked by all who knew him. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the St. Jean Baptiste Society.
Funeral services were held from St. Paul's Church on Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, the funeral mass being sung by Rev. A. L. Desautels, assisted by Rev. Francis Candon and Rev. Leopold Bastien of Orleans. Burial was in the family lot in St. Joseph's [sic] cemetery in Barton.
Relatives from out of town to attend the services were Mrs. Leda Langevin, Claremont, N. H., Mrs. Yvonne Desautels, Dover, N. H., Ronaldo Legendre and sister, Miss Ianna Legendre, of Lawrence, Mass.
