~Mrs. Philomenne Beliveau
Mrs. Philomenne Beliveau passed away Friday afternoon, September 28, at her home on High street, following an illness of 18 months, during which time she had been confined to her bed. She was given loving and constant care throughout her long illness by her daughter, Elodia.
Mrs. Beliveau was born in St. Julien de W[olfes]town, Que., February 5, 1877, to Vitaline Boissonneau and Louis Boucher. She came to Barton in her early womanhood and on October 10, 1898, was united in marriage to Dormino Beliveau. Three daughters were born of this union, Miss Elodia of Barton, Mrs. Joseph Gagnon and Mrs. Arthur Desautels, both residing in Dover, N. H. A brother, Louis Boucher, of Barton, and two sisters, Mrs. Julien Langevin of Claremont, N. H., and Miss Elise Boucher, also survive. Mr. Beliveau passed away five years ago.
Funeral mass was held from St Paul's church on Tuesday morning, the Rev. Fr. Francis Candon officiating and burial was in the family lot in St. Paul's cemetery.
Relatives and friends from away to attend the services were Mrs. Arthur Desautels and Mrs. Joseph Gonyaw of Dover, N. H.; Mrs. Julien Langevin, Mr. and Mrs. Clovis Langevin and Aime and Eugene Langevin of Claremont, N. H., Cliff Boucher of Waterbury, Conn., and Aime Boucher of St. Johnsbury.
