~Nazaire Boucher

Nazaire Boucher, who had resided in Barton for more than 79 years, died at the St. Johnsbury Hospital, May 23, where he had suffered intensely for many weeks.

Mr. Boucher was born in St. Julien de [Wolfestown], Que., April 28, 1868. He was united in marriage to Miss Emma Charpentier at Barton April 19, 1897. She survives him. also a daughter Louise Boucher. who has lived at home. two sons. Aime and Ernest of Hartford, Conn., and six grandchildren.

For the past few years Mr. Boucher was a village caretaker of streets here previously, a mill worker. He was a member of St. Jean de Baptiste Society of Barton.

Mass was celebrated at St. Paul's Church, Monday morning, March 26, at 9 o'clock by Rev. A. L. Desautels with a large attendance. The body was entombed in Glover to await burial later in St. Paul's cemetery.

Out of town people attending were Mr. and Mrs. Aime Boucher and Ernest Boucher of Hartford, Conn., Zephir Boucher of Waterbury, Conn., A. B. Morency of Manchester, N. H., Mrs. A. V. Cloutier of Burlington, Mrs. Arthur Desautels and Mrs. Joseph Gagnon of Dover, N. H.
