Mrs. Georgia Ann Barlow Cox, age 74, wife of Clyde Delano Cox, of Ferguson died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 9, at 3:00 at Lewis Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Dwayne Andrews and the Rev. Sherrill Wellborn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive at Lewis Fork Baptist Church from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
Mrs. Cox was born in Wilkes County on September 1, 1938, to George and Gladys Fenner Barlow. She was a member of Lewis Fork Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by two brothers, Rex Barlow and Bill Barlow.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Cox is survived by three daughters, Regina C. Beatty and husband, Ed of Wilmington, Sandra Cox of Spartanburg, SC, Nancy C. Moretz and husband, Richard of Wilkesboro; one son, William (Bill) E. Cox and wife, Shaye of Ferguson; seven grandchildren, Julia E. Hurt, Katy Curtis, Seth Greene, Brooke Cox, Tara Cox, Summer Cox, and Erica Cox; three great grandchildren, Leah Ellen Hurt, Lucas Connor Huffman, Lillian Grace Curtis; one sister, Jean Church of Wilkesboro; three brothers, Jerry Barlow and wife, Bernice of Ferguson, Garland Barlow of Wilkesboro, Kenny Barlow and wife, Penny of Ferguson.
