Frank M. Bower

Frank M. Bower, 77, of Rote, father of Carl Bower who was a recent candidate for county treasurer, died yesterday at 9.45 p.m. at his home, after a year-long illness.

He was a native of Mackeyville, lived in Nittany Valley all his life, and at Rote for the past 45 years.

He had worked for a 30-year period in the brick plants at Mill Hall before his most recent employment by General Armature and Mfg. Co. His church membership was with the Rote Evangelical United Brethren congregation.

Mrs. Bower died in 1946.

Two sons and four daughters survive: Carl, of Rote; Clair, Salona; Mrs. Paul Brungard, Salona RD; Mrs. George Deibler, Pleasant Gap; Mrs. Lloyd Kramer, Salona RD, and Mrs. Fred Courter, at home.

There are also surviving 13 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a brother, Charles, of Lock Haven.

BOWER--Services for Frank M. Bower, 77, of Rote, who died Monday, July 13, 1953, at 9.45 p.m. at his home, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at his home, the Rev. R.L. Freas officiating. Interment, Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
