LaCrosse -- A retired LaCrosse resident, Wendelin Urban, died Sunday at the age of 70 at his home. He was born Oct. 6, 1907 at Pfeifer and married Rosemary Leiker Nov. 26, 1929 at Munjor.
Surviving are his widow; two sons, Norbert and Justin, both of LaCrosse; six daughters, Mrs. Leo Heeps, Webster, Mass., Mrs. Millard Schloember, Bison, Mrs. Kenneth Giebler, Hays, Mrs. Johnny Hager, Geneseo, Mrs. Arlin Armstrong, Phillipsburg, and Mrs. Robert Kreutzer, Great Bend; two brothers, Ben, Westminister, Colo., and Sylvester, Hays; four sisters, Mrs. Jake Urban, Ashland, Colo., Mrs. Tom Urban, LaCrosse, Mrs. Fidelis Basgall, LaCrosse, and Mrs. Jerome Basgall, LaCrosse; 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services 10 a.m. Wednesdy, St. Michael's Catholic Church, Fr. Richard Schinstock; LaCross Cemetery. A rosary is planned at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Janousek Funeral Home, LaCrosse. Friends may call there until 9 p.m. Monday and form 9-9 Tuesday.
