OBITUARY: HOLT COUNTY INDEPENDENT JANUARY 1914
MRS. ED LOY
Miss Clara Heenan was born at Covington, Kentucky, August 28, 1875 and died at her home at Bridgeport, this state on January 5, 1914 of pneumonia; aged 38 years 4 months and 7 days. Her remains were brought to this city last Friday and lay in state at the home of Dave Loy, where the funeral was held and her remains laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery Friday afternoon.The deceased came to Holt County with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Heenan in the early days and settled on a homestead. She was united in marriage to Edwin P. Loy in this city July 2, 1900. They lived here until seven years ago when they moved to Bridgeport this state. Three children were the fruits of this union--two sons and one daughter---Omar E., aged 8 years; Delores C. aged 4 years and Fredrick J. aged 2 years. These children and her devoted husband survive her and mourn her early death. Besides these were her mother, and Mrs. Antony Murray and Mrs.Ed Graham, sisters living here. Miss Helen Heenan a sister living in Omaha and Mrs John Staley a sister living in Council Bluffs, and Mrs. Justin McCarthy a sister at Neligh and her brothers Frank at Spencer and John at Omaha., all except Mrs. McCarthy attended the funeral. Besides these who attended the sad last rites were Mr and Mrs W.E Lamm of Allen, and Mr and Mrs WB Munford of Loretta, this state, sisters and brother-in-laws of Mr. Loy.The deceased was a devoted christian mother who gave her best to bringing up her small family in the right way. She was devoted to her husband and her home and will be sadly missed form the home she loved so well and worked so hard to make.

I realize the obit and tombstone have different birth months. I also feel like the birth year 1875 is wrong. I think Clara actually was born 1873, after Mary and before Frank since I have baptismal info from Covington, Ky for both of them.
