Mrs. Sarah Murray Passes Away Feb. 14 Services On Saturday.Funeral services were held Saturday morning, February 16th for pioneer, who passed away at her home just north of O'Neill on Thursday, February 14th. Services were held at St. Patrick's Church with Rev. Timothy J. O'Sullivan in charge and burial following in Calvary Cemetery, beside the body of her husband, who died in 1920.
Pallbearers were Al J. Sauser, Robert Donohoe, D.F. Murphy, Thomas J. Donohoe, Anthony Stanton, Norb Uhl, James Kellyand John Cook.
Sarah Heenan was born at Covington, Kentucky on January 22, 1870, the daughter of John Heenan and Ann Hannigan. She came to Holt County with her parents when a young lady and has made her home in Holt County since that time. She was united in marriage to Anthony Murray on May 26, 1886. Five children : three sons and two daughters were born to them, all of whom survive. They are Edward Murray, John and Frank Murray all of O'Neill; Mrs James Kane, San Francisco, Calif.; and Miss Ann Murray of O'Neill.She is also survived by four sisters: Mrs. Mary Graham, O'Neill and Mrs. Elizabeth Bolton, Reno, Nev.; Mrs Margaret McCarthy, Norfolk, Nebraska; Miss Helen Heenan of Norfolk and one brother, Frank Heenan of Norfolk. Also two grandaughters, two grandsons and four great-grandchildren.
