HAROLD D. BAGWELL

Graveside services for Harold D. Bagwell, 86, of Logansport, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Riverview IOOF Cemetery in Monticello. The funeral procession will leave from Kroeger Funeral Home at 1:15 p.m.

He died at 11:26 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2005 in Chase Center.

Born March 24, 1919, in Logansport, he was the son of Charles and Grace McCloud Bagwell. He was married Feb. 27, 1969, to Mary Gunion Barnett, who survives.

Mr. Bagwell retired in 1995 as proprietor of Bagwell's Auction and Furniture in downtown Logansport. He also had previously owned and operated the Bagwell Upholstery Shop on Fifth Street, which his father had operated before him.

He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, having served in the South Pacific during World War II.

Harold enjoyed yard work, walking his dog and being with his family.

Also surviving are two stepsons and their wives, Edward Lee and Jennifer Barnett, Bloomington, and Jack and Phyllis Barnett, Peru; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Caroly and Jack Samuels, Lake Cicott, and Sandra and Art Freed, Dade City, Fla.; 18 stepgrandchildren; and 24 step great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Dixie Bagwell, two brothers, and two sisters preceded in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in Kroeger Funeral Home.
