MASTOID IS FATAL
TO EUGENE BAGWELL
AT LOCAL HOSPITAL
Charles Eugene Bagwell, 17, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bagwell
of Hammond, formerly of Logansport,
died at the St. Joseph hospital
at 5 o'clock Monday, afternoon following
a mastoid operation performed
a few hours previous.
The youth, a junior In Hammond
Tech high school, came to Visit his
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George
McCombs, near Buffalo, three
weeks ago. A short time later an
ear Infection developed that led to
the fatal illness he as admitted
to the hospital Monday morning.
Surviving are the parents, two
brothers, Demoine and Wayne, and
two sisters, Madeline and Mr.
Irene Sickles of Hammond.
Funeral rites are to be held at
the Prevo funeral parlors in Monticello
at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.
Rev. O. K. Malone of Logansport
in charge. Burial will be
made in the Riverview cemetery
