Dr. Vincent DePaul Pollard
A mass for Dr. Vincent DePaul Pollard, 66, chairman of the pediatrics department at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 905 Burr Ave., Winnetka. Dr. Pollard, of Winnetka, died Thursday in Evanston Hospital. He was associate professor of pediatrics at the Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine at the University of Illinois, and was active in several charities. He was a supporter of Special Olympics events in the Chicago area, and was involved in the development of inner city health clinics within the Chicago Health Department. He is survived by his wife, Maryclare; five sons, Vincent, Kevin, Brian, Colin and Brendan; four daughters, Mary Clare White, Lenore Cameron, Faith Anne and Monica; two brothers; and four grandchildren.
