Jody grew up in southern CA, going to 11th grade before moving on to the work world doing anything to make a dollar. After the death of her younger sister's husband, Jody took Butchie & her daughter into her home 1957, supporting all 3 due to Butchie's pregnancy. In 1961 she moved to NV & from there to AZ where she met John. On 15 May 1964 Jody wed John. This union created 3 children. They visited CA so the family could meet John & their 5 kids. They returned to John's hometown were Jody work for the former Thatcher Glass Co
Throughout her life she owned numerous different kinds of animals - horses, exotic birds & dogs.
Some of Jody's favorite pastimes were talking on the phone, being on her computer, going to dog shows, taking care of children, & watching Cubs games. Before moving to IL Jody was an Dogers fan {like her father} but that soon changed to her becomming avid Chicago Cubs Fan, NEVER missing a game! Mostly Jody loved people, never meeting a stranger, was a simple woman who loved life, her family & friends. During her illness she received the love, support of her many family, friends & neighbors.

'Aunt Jody was the "Jo" in Jo-Bee's Papillons. (the 'Bee' is my Mom, her sister). Mom had retired from showing cockers & was thinking about getting back in dogs w/a smaller breed. My aunt had been depressed since losing Uncle John & needed something to fill her heart & her time. She became the best home screener of us all!! No one was going to get one of her's & Mom's puppies that was not a good home, that WAS for sure! But she never could really understand my love of parti-color cockers, as she always would remind me how she loved the buffs :-)
Mom & Aunt Jody are very close, they talked several times a week by phone, have for many yrs. Being on vacation Mom & Dad stopped to visit w/her Thursday, (she lives 500 miles away) & they talked again Friday.
Love you Aunt Jody, & am missing you tonight....LB'
