Goossens Rites Held At Rose Church
Theodore Philip Goossens passed away in Fayetteville Veterans Hospital.
Rev. Walter Russell conducted the funeral services Saturday in the Bible Presbyterian Church, w/Burial in Rose Cemetery.
Born in Essen Germany, to Johanna Detmers & Marinus Peeters Goossens. Mr Goossens came to the United States w/his parents at the age of 16 to New York.
He moved to Rose in 1972 from West Los Angeles, CA.
Mr Goossens was very proud to served his adopted country during WWI. He was a retired stevedore & bartender. He enjoyed plying cards, watching baseball & spending time w/his family. He loved telling stories to anyone who would listen. He will be dearly missed.
Mr Goossens was also a member of the Catholic Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, grandson Wayne Scott Wiseman (at birth), 11 sisters and 1 brother.

Survivors include daughters: Mrs. Mary (Rex) Eastman Port Angeles WA, Mrs. JoAnne (John) Wiseman Long Point IL, Mrs. Bernadine (Milton) Beeson Rose, & Ms. Viola Goossens, La Mirada CA; sister Catarina Margaretha Rozema; plus grandchildren: Janes, Jackie, Pamela, Christy, Gilbert, Dorlena, Vicky, Harold, Lindy, Vickie, Jonella, Keith & Tammy
