Claude married Anna Sarah Malinda Mattingly on May 12, 1896, in Mason County, Kentucky. Anna was born December 26, 1875, in Mason County, Kentucky, the daughter of Richard and Anna Eliza (Valentine) Mattingly. Claude and Anna had the following known children:

3. May (Jenkins) Mattingly (1903-1997)

According to Claude's death certificate, he was fruit rancher.
