Elizabeth Chandler
Elizabeth Chandler, daughter of Wm. Chandler, was born July 9th, 1832, died July 29, 1908, age seventy six years, twenty days. She was of a family of ten children, four sons and six daughters. Two brothers John and Robert Chandler and one sister Mrs. Perry survive. She was first married to Wm. Nevill. To them twelve children were born, seven sons and five daughters. Five children are dead. She had thirty grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Nevill died twenty years ago. She was again married to Fieldon Wheaton twelve years ago. She united with the church at New Bethel and later, with the church here. Those who knew her bear evidence that she was an obedient woman when in her home and a faithful wife and a devoted mother, her home being a place where her children and grandchildren loved to meet. Also that her life was devoted to her master's service.
