Married, 2nd, Nancy Jane Coy on October 22, 1882 in Johnson County, Indiana and they were the parents of David Matthew Chandler, Emma Ione (Chandler) Hedger, Lora E. Chandler, Asa Chandler, and one unidentified daughter.

The Bartholomew County WPA Birth Index shows that Thomas Chandler and Jane Coy were the parents of an unnamed female Chandler born on August 8, 1883. No further information is known of this unidentified daughter.

Death of Thomas Chandler

John Chandler received a dispatch last evening announcing the death of his brother, Thomas Chandler, at Kansas, Bartholomew County. His death occurred at nine o'clock yesterday, somewhat suddenly. Mr. Chandler and wife left today to attend the funeral which occurs tomorrow morning at ten o'clock at the Anderson church.
