Edna E. Uhing, 86, of 131 Jefferson Ave., Vandergrift, died Saturday (Nov. 15, 1986) in Citizen's General Hospital, New Kensington.

Born Sept. 10, 1900, in Kiski Township, she was a daughter of the late Steve and Jennie France Uhing and a life-long area resident.

She was a school teacher in the former Vandergrift School District for 39 years, retiring in 1962.

Miss Uhing was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Retired Teachers Association, both of Vandergrift.

Survivors include three brothers, William B. and Harry Uhing, both of Parks, and Paul A. Uhing of Kiski Twp.; three sisters, Margaret Uhing and Florence Uhing, both of North Apollo, and Virginia Deemer of Sharon.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, John and Clarence Uhing; a sister, Mary Uhing; and a half sister, Martha Stitt.

Friends may call today from 2 to 9 p.m. in the Dunmire-Kerr Funeral Home, A Golden Rule Funeral Home, 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the First Lutheran Church, Vandergrift, with her pastor, the Rev. Raymond Hausele, in charge. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
