Mrs. Amanda Barnes Jean, 60, died suddenly Monday morning in the Lincoln County Hospital following surgery.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Ralston Chapel, with the Rev. James Underwood officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Jean was the daughter of the late Claude E. and Lizzie Tucker Barnes, and was a native of Lincoln County. She was a member of the Beech Grove Methodist Church. Her husband, Horace Jean, died in 1950.
Survivors include two sons, Tommie B. Grimes of Nashville, and Hayes Grimes of Chicago, Illinois; two brothers, Buford and John B. Barnes of Lincoln County, and two grandchildren.
