A memorial service for Minnie Clifton, a Southeast Portland resident, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Mt. Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Private inurnment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
She died of heart disease Thursday in a Portland hospital. She was 76.
Mrs. Clifton was born Dec. 28, 1915, in Missouri, where she grew up. Her maiden name was Newburn.
After her marriage to Wayne Clifton, she moved to Portland in the early 1940s. He died in 1964.
Mrs. Clifton worked 25 to 30 years for White Stag and Hirsch-Weis, making clothes and other goods. She also was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn English of Portland and Jean Hesse of Vale; sons, Wayne J. of Eugene and James E. of Portland; sisters, Augusta and Frona, both of Missouri; brother, Clarence; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A son, Kenneth Charles Clifton, died in the Vietnam War in 1969.
