Mrs. Lou Baird McGhee, 80, of Boone, died Friday morning, June 29, at Watauga County Hospital.
She was born in Watauga county, December 9, 1903, to Joseph and Parthania Church Baird. She was a member of Deerfield Methodist Church.
Mr. McGhee is survived by her husband, Malcolm McGhee, one son, four sisters, one brother, one granddaughter and two grandsons.
Services were conducted Sunday afternoon at Deerfield United Methodist church. Officiating were Reverends Marion Swann, Wade Wright, and Joseph McMurry. Burial was in the Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens.
Hampton Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.
