LINNERT, EDWARD—Edward Linnert, the son of Arnold and Mary Linnert, was born in Warren county, Missouri, January 28, 1883. When he was a year old the family moved to Nebraska and located in Fillmore county. With the exception of five years he lived in Kansas, he has made his home in this community the last 25 years residing in Geneva. He departed this life June 11, 1952, at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 13 days. Death was due to a heart attack and he had been in his usual health until stricken.

Some years ago he built the "81 Tourist Camp" and operated it for 13 years. For the past 10 years he has had a small chicken ranch at the edge of Geneva. Through the years his congenial and cordial attitude won many friends. This was home to him as a residence and a community. As a farmer and a businessman he was careful, thrifty and liberal—one of those persons who help to maintain the good things of his community life.

He leaves one brother, John, of Geneva; two sisters, Mrs. LeRoy Miles of Geneva, and Mrs. Lydia Adams of Milwaukee, Wis., together with other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the Hrubesky-Farmer funeral home Friday afternoon, June 13, 1952, at 2:30. Dr. F. E. Pfoutz gave the tribute, Lloyd London sang "Going Down the Valley' and Mrs. F. M. Holtz accompanied at the piano. The pallbearers were William Domeier, John Harrington, Fred Meyer, Emil Reinsch, Ira Taylor and William Watmore. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
