She and LeRoy Miles were married February 21, 1909. The made their home on a farm until 1947, when they located in Geneva, where they had since resided. Mr. and Mrs. Miles became the parents of five children, who like their parents, made this church their home, although in more recent years they have transferred to churches where they now reside.
In addition to Mrs. Miles’ activities in her church organizations, she found time to work in numerous community enterprises. Perhaps her favorites were the extension clubs with which she worked ever since they were organized in 1920. At the close of the notes she had prepared on her life and interests she added: “I have been very happy and loved my home and family very much.”
In his remarks at the final service, Dr. Pfoutz said, “During my few years as minister here, I have known her to be a person who did lover her home and her church. And so often on Sunday morning as she left, she would have a complimentary word about the service. She was a devout worshipper and appreciated the choir and words of the minister, and when health would permit, who was regular in attendance.
In addition to the floral tributes, there have been many gifts and contributions to the cancer fund and the hospital in memory of the interest and concern of Mrs. Miles for these worthy enterprises.
The family left to mourn are her husband, LeRoy Miles, and four children, Floyd of Vale, Ore.; David of Wilder, Idaho; Mrs. G. H. Amen of Lincoln, and Charles of Ontario, Ore. There are 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Rosenau, accompanied by Mrs. Willard Foster, provided the ministry of music. The following has been contributed by Find a Grave member Ruth Ellen Bartels. Ruth found baptism records at St. John Lutheran church, and the following was included in those records:
Karoline Friedrike Linnert, b. 18 Aug 1889, baptized at St. John 8 Jun 1890. Her parents are Arnold Linnert and Friederike (spelled three ways on the baptism records: Bagemann, Begemann, and Pegemann; the middle one is probably correct). Other children of these two baptized at St. John are Carl Heinrich (b. 27 Feb 1885, bap. 24 Aug 1885) and Lydia Maria Catherina (b. 24 Jan 1887, bap. 21 Aug 1887
