John is credited with a second wife in the Marlborough, MA., vital records book, which, unfortunately, does not provide a date. Since it was a second marriage for both it may have been by civil contract rather than a church affair. Many of those were never recorded in civil records, and we only learn of them from family bibles.
John Maynard (Jr) and Sarah Blandford, widow of Elias Keyes, are credited with being the parents of Sarah (1680), Lydia (1682), and Joseph (1685) Maynard, all born in Marlborough.

The gravestone photo posted for this memorial #95550485, John Maynard (1630-1711) is actually the photo of the stone for his son John (1661-1731). (Thank you Steve Shultz for this information)
