MUNCIE--Alice Sue Belcher, 65, Muncie, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2007. She made her home in Muncie after moving from Harlan, Kentucky in 1963.

An angel came and called Sue's name and took her by the hand and said her place was ready in Heaven far above.

She was born in Whitley County, Ky, to Ottis and Oshie (West) Phillips on August 30, 1941. She worked for several businesses in Muncie as a security guard and an interior decorator.

Alice was a member of the Assembly of God Church dedicated to her family. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and was a back-up gospel singer along with her husband Rodney and Rev. and Mrs. Leonard Bryant and Sister Nina Toby Morgan Wachob.

My Loving husband, Rodney Belcher, son, Ottis and my grandson, Justin; When tomorrow stands without me please try to understand, that an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand and said my place in Heaven was ready in Heaven far above, and that I'd have to leave all those dearly loved, but as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye, I thougt of all the yesterdays, the good and bad. I thought of all the love we shared and all the fun we had. If I could re-live yesterday, I'd say good by and kiss you and maybe see you smile. (but when I walked thru Heaven's gates I felt so much at home and when God looked down and smiled at me from his great golden throne he said Susie this is eternity and all I've promised you) For today life on earth has passed but here it starts anew. You have been forgiven and now at last you're free so, won't you take my hand and share my life with me. So, when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart. So, when you think of me I'm right here in your heart.

Leaving to cherish her memory; her dedicated loving husband of 47 years, Rodney R. Belcher; one son;

She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Ottis and Oshie (West) Phillips; two sisters, Mary Alford and Shaunda Grubbs; and niece, Patty Ann.

Calling hours will be from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Parson Mortuary, 801 West Adams Street. Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Parson Mortuary with Ottis Belcher (Sue's son); niece, Linda Adkins; Rev. Barb Farr and Rev. Terry Farr officiating. Burial will be Monday, February 19, 2007 at 1 p.m. in Pine Knot Cemetery in Pine Knot, KY.

A special thanks to all doctors and staff and at Ball Memorial Hospital and doctor and staff at Yorktown. A special dedication to Nina and William Wachob, as well as many friends and family.
