Muncie - Shirley Fay Bowen, 73, passed away suddenly Tuesday Morning, November 20, 2012, at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 3, 1939, in Revelo, Kentucky , the daughter of Ottis and Oshie (Rich) Phillips, and attended Kentucky Schools.

Mrs. Bowen was a homemaker and past member of the Lighthouse Church of God.
She enjoyed singing Gospel Music and having coffee at the kitchen table, cooking, and big family dinners. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren unconditionally.

She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-five years, Steven Bowen; her parents; one brother and three sisters.

Survivors include three daughters, Pauline Goff, (husband-Howard), Muncie, Linda Adkins, (companion-James Massey), Centerville, and Juanita Bowen, Muncie; two sisters, Norma Seals, (husband- Bill), Beaver Creek, Ohio, and Nina Wachob, (husband-William), Anderson; three grandchildren, Henry Joe Adkins, Muncie, Steven Adkins, (wife-Talisa), Henderson, Kentucky, and Erica Michelle Tumbleson, (husband-Keith), Indianapolis; eight great- grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Barbara Farr officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Friends may call at Parson Mortuary one hour prior to time of service on Thursday.
