Mary Virginia Brock Ainsworth was born on a farm in the Delta Country of North Mississippi; the third child of Percy and Dora Belle Brock. She married Emry Clinton Kennedy Sr.(d. 1957) in 1947 and they had two sons, Emry Jr. (b. 1948) and Ronald Edward (b. 1951). She later married Kendall Ainsworth (Aug. 10, 1933 - Nov. 3, 1995 )and they had one son, Anthony Todd (b. 1963). Mary owned the "Tuckaway Diner" in Kosciusko, and at one time was a supervisor for Garan Clothing Manufacturing, also in Kosciusko.
Mary was very loving to her family, particularly her children, nieces and nephews, and was known for always knowing the right thing to do for almost any situation. She died after a long battle with cancer on December 21, 1997.
