Afton B. Elison 1917 ~ 2004 LAYTON - Afton King Bennett Elison, 86, passed away Wed., April 28, 2004 at home of causes incident to age. She was born Oct. 24, 1917 in Kaysville, Utah, a daughter of James Edward and Eliza Ellen King Bennett. She married G. Dale Elison September 1, 1940 in Kaysville, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. He passed away February 21,1993. She was reared and educated in Kaysville, graduating from Davis High School. She had lived in Kaysville, Bountiful, Phoenix, AZ, and in Layton the past 15 years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Layton Camelot Ward. She had worked at Candy Campus in Layton for many years. She enjoyed being a homemaker, always taking pride in her home and yard; being a grandma, participating in as many family events as possible and activities with the Lakeview Senior Friends and Autumn Glow Seniors. Surviving are one son and three daughters and their spouses, Stanley D. and Mary Elison, Ogden; Kathy (Horne) and Lee Carling, Layton; Yvonne and Dick Brown, Clearfield; Pam and Gary Reeves, Glendale, AZ; 19 grandchildren; 45 great-grand-children; 16 great-great-grand-children and one great-great-great-grandchild; one sister, Luella Cole, Fruitland, ID; two sisters-in-law, Mable Bennett, Kaysville; Zelda Tidwell, Farmington and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, six sisters and one granddaughter, Sheri LeeAnn Reeves. Funeral services will be held Mon., May 3, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main. Friends and family may call Sun. from 6-8 p.m. and Mon., from 12:45-1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery. e-mail condolences to the family at [email protected]
