Funeral services for Anton Kramer, 94, retired area banker, were held Monday at the Church of the Holy Name Catholic church in Vesta. He died Friday at the Wabasso nursing home.
Rev. Silverius Roehl conducted the service and pallbearers were Clarence Petracek, Leonard Richard, Clifford Maurice Kraemer and Joe Pistulka. Interment was in the Vesta Catholic cemetery with Sunset funeral home of Echo in charge.
Mr. Kramer was born February 6, a son of Michael and Gertrude Bernard Kramer. He married Dora Norcutt in Our Lady of Victory church at Lucan. They lived in Lucas where he was cashier at the bank. In 1946 they moved to Vesta where he also worked as a banker. He retired in 1968.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Jake (Chloris) Thuer of Springfield; sons, Bernard of Omaha, Lyle of Milroy; Lyndon of San Antonio, Tx., Melvin and Woodrow of Vesta, William of Warren, Mi, and Don of Alexandria; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Arnold and Matt of Wabasso, Sebastian of Brainerd and Nick of Lucas, and sisters, Mrs. Frank (Lena) Petracek of Seaforth and Mrs. Richard (Ann) Finley of Maple Park, Ill. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
