FROSTBURG,MARYLAND -- Frank T. Crowe, 92, went to be home with the Lord and his wife of sixty years, Mary E. (Winebrenner) Crowe on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at The Goodwill Mennonite Home in Grantsville, surrounded by his children.

He was born on April 23, 1920, in Meyersdale, Pa., and was the son of the late Roy Edward Crowe and Clara (Wolf) Crowe. He was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Raymond, Fred, Willard, Karl, Woodrow, Harold and Delford and one sister, Hilda Sturtz.

Mr. Crowe was a veteran of World War II and served in the South Pacific. He retired from Diehl's Ford after thirty years of service as a Service Manager and Mechanic and after retirement, he worked at the Yoder Locker plant as a mechanic. He was a member of the Grace Brethren Church of Meyersdale, Pa.

Frank is survived by four sons, Paul Crowe and wife Karen, of Finksburg, Ivan Crowe and wife Nancy, of Barton, Tim Crowe, of Morgantown and Kevin Crowe and wife Candy, of Frostburg; five daughters, Jane Unger and husband Paul, of Sykesville, Eileen McLaughlin and husband John, of Meyersdale, Pa., Wilma Jones and husband Steve, of Berthol, Colo., Ethel Lentsch and husband Terry, of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Juanita Keeney and husband David, of Charlestown, W.Va.; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Herbert Crowe and wife Anna and Archie Crowe and wife Geraldine and one sister, Ruth Stanton.

Friends will be received at the Hafer Frost Mansion Funeral Home, 58 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Randy Hawk officiating and a son-in-law, Pastor David Keeney assisting.

Frank's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Interment will follow at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors being accorded by Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard.

The family respectfully requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Eastern Garrett Co. Volunteer Fire Co., 401 Finzel Road, Frostburg, MD 21532.
