FROSTBURG -- Roy Edward Crowe, 67, of Finzel, died last night in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
A native of Finzel, he was born July 29, 1892 a son of the late Thomas J. and Mary (Ballah) Crowe. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Clara L. (Wolfe) Crowe; two daughters, Mrs. Hilda Ellifritz, Cresaptown, and Mrs. Ruth Stanton, Grantsville; 10 sons, Rev. Raymond Crowe, Baltimore, Rev. Frederick Crowe, Kalispell, Mont.; Rev. Carl Crowe, Rockbridge Baths, Va.; Willard, Frank, Harold and Hubert Crowe, all of Finzel; Archie Crowe, Keyser, W.Va.; Delford Crowe, Grantsville, and Woodrow Crowe, Waynesboro, Pa.; two brothers, Lee Crowe, Arlington, Va., and Denzel Crowe, Baltimore; a sister, Mrs. Beatrice Durst, National Highway; 36 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body will be at the Durst Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The family requests that flowers be omitted and contributions be made to the Johnson Emmanuel Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
