Services for Earl Collings, 94, of Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Friday at the First Free Will Baptist Church, Revs. Lewis Perry and Lynn Wood will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Mr. Collings died Monday, August 13, 2012 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law near Pauls Valley. He was born June 26, 1918 in Ada, Oklahoma. He married Irene Smith on December 24, 1938. She preceded him in death on January 21, 2011. Mr. Collings was a self-employed life insurance agent for Home Security Life Insurance Company for many years. He was a longtime active member of the First Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for 53 years, a Sunday School Teacher for 51 years and sang in the choir for 40 years. Survivors include his two sons, Don Collings and his wife Sharon of Middletown, Maryland, and Dave Collings and his wife Janie of Pauls Valley; his daughter-in-law, Joyce Collings of Ada; grandchildren, Don Collings and wife Mary, Beaver, PA, Stacy Collings, Wilmington, DE, Stephanie Best and husband Joe, Frederick, MD, Rob Collings and wife Betsy, Frederick, MD, Matt Collings and wife Susan, Pauls Valley, OK, Kevin Collings and wife Jenny, Red River, NM, Donald Wayne Collings, Denver, CO, and Kim Collings, Norman, OK; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Collings in 2008. Bearers will be Matt Collings, Monty Collings, Donald Collings, James Mouser, Haskell Dighton and Bud Estes.
