Obituary
The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, Nebraska), Thursday, September 22, 1932; pg. 5

This community was deeply saddened on Tuesday P.M. when it was learned that Mrs. J.B. blue had passed away at her home at 1700 Rio Hondo Ave. She had been in failing health for three months following an operation.
Pansy Follmer was born July 18, 1890, at Oak, Nebr., and died Tuesday, September 6, 1932, age 42 years.
Her grade and high school education were completed at Lincoln, Nebraska, attending college two years at Oberlin, University of Wisconsin one year, and finished a two year course at the University of Nebraska in 1915, receiving the degree of Bachelor of Arts.
On March 31, 1917, she was united in marriage with J.B. Blue. This happy home was blessed with five lovely children: J. Burl, Jr., Barbara, Kathlyn, Annabel and Alyce.
Besides her husband and children she leaves her aged mother, Mrs. G.D. Follmer, four brothers, Clarence, Harry, Eugene and Ralph, and two sisters, Miss Kathrine Follmer and Mrs. Fern Lowery of Oak. Mrs. Blue was a member of the Christian church (sic), Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority of the University of Nebraska, Chapter J P.E.O. of Nelson, Nebr., and the Rosemont [sic] Woman's club.
In Ashland, Ohio, where she resided from 1917 to 1924, she was the first president of the Woman's Auxiliary to Harry Higgins Post, American Legion.
The profusion of flowers gave mute testimony of the esteem and sympathy of many friends. Services were held at the Schanel Funeral Parlors in El Monte Thursday afternoon with Rev. D. Edward Wright of Alhambra, in charge. Burial was made in the cemetery at Rosemont [sic].
Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. G.D. Follmer, mother, and Miss Kathrine, sister, Lieut. Lloyd Follmer of the U.S. Navy, now stationed in Vallejo. The entire community joins in their sympathy to this bereaved family. -- Rosemaid [sic] Review.
