James F. Barry, 75 Executive at Thom McAn - WWII veteran Legionnaire *** CUMMAQUID - James F. Barry, 75, a resident of Cummaquid, died Sunday after surgery. He was the husband of the late Emily J. (Tritten) Barry. Born and educated in Utica, N.Y., Mr. Barry lived in Sudbury for many years before moving to Cummaquid in 1982. Mr. Barry was associated with the Thom McAn division of the Melville Corp. for more than 40 years. He was appointed vice president in 1961 and subsequently held the positions of retail sales manager and general manager. He retired in 1985. A World War II veteran, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent de Paul Society, American Legion and the Two/Ten National Foundation. He was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis. Surviving are a son, Robert C. Barry of Hebron, N.H. a daughter, Elaine M. Reilly of Natick and four grandchildren.
