The former Margaret Bell, she was born in Chilton on July 7, 1902, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Albertina Ester Bell. She graduated from Chilton High School in 1920. On June 26, 1929, she and Joseph P. Depies were married at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton. He died March 4, 1974.
Mrs. Depies was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein, its Christian Mothers Society and the Daughters of Isabella, Marion Circle.
Survivors are two sons, Joseph A. and Paul, both of New Holstein; 14 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral Mass was at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ralph Hermsen, pastor, celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery, Chilton.
