Paul W. Depies, age 79, of New Holstein died unexpectedly Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the Calumet Medical Center in Chilton.

He was born October 10, 1933 to the late Joseph P. & Margaret (Bell) Depies.

Paul attended Holy Rosary Catholic Grade School and graduated from New Holstein High School in 1951. He received his Bachelor Degree in Sales & Marketing from the University of Notre Dame.

He served in the Army from 1957-1959. On June 11, 1955 he married the former Lois Domke at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Lois preceded him in death on July 1, 2007.

Paul was co-owner, along with his brother, Jospeh, of Depies Firestone Store Sales & Service in New Holstein until his retirement.

He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein, the Holy Name Society, and the New Holstein Knights of Columbus Council 12393. Paul had also served on the New Holstein City Council for 42 years where he also served on the Park & Rec. Committee, Finance Committee, and the Police & Fire Commission.

Survivors include his five children, David H. Depies of New Holstein, John J. Depies of North Hudson, WI, William M. Depies of Appleton, Edward P. (Liz) Depies of Plymouth, and Patricia E. (Jeff) Ross of Green Bay; two granddaughters, Ella Depies and Hailey Ross, his brother, Joseph A. Depies of New Holstein, and his brother-in-law, Harold Domke of Hobe Sound, FL.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph P. & Margaret Depies; his wife, Lois Depies; his grandson, Brandon M. Ross; and his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Howard C. & Anita Domke.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, November 9, 2012, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street in New Holstein. Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate. Military Rites conducted by the New Holstein American Legion Post 124 will take place at the church following the Mass. Burial will be in the Eaton Union Cemetery in the Town of Eaton.

Family and friends may call at Holy Rosary Church on Friday November 9th from 3-5:30 PM.
