EDWARD C. DEFAUT

Edward C. De Faut, 62, of 233 Davis St., Two Rivers, died Saturday evening at
Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient a week.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Episcopal Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. William R. Harvey will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. De Faut was born Feb. 17, 1901, at Sturgeon Bay, son of the late Francis
and Mary Ann Walker De Faut. He attended Sawyer schools and as a young man
worked on boats of the Leathem D. Smith Line, Sturgeon Bay.
He came to Manitowoc as a crane operator for McMullen and Pitz Construction Co.
and from 1931 to the present had been yard foreman for Muchin Steel and Supply
Co. He was a member of Boilermakers Union Local 443.
Mr. De Faut married Adeline Leonard at Sturgeon Bay Feb. 3, 1920. She survives
along with three sons, Charles and Francis of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, and Robert of
Two Rivers; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Gadzinski and Mrs. Dorothy Jacquart of
Manitowoc; a brother, Frank of Whitelaw; four sisters, Mrs. Harry Tipler of
Sturgeon Bay, Mrs. Grace Schoblaska of Manitowoc, Mrs. James Reel of Marinette,
Wis., and Mrs. Chauncy Snider of Menominee, Mich.; 15 grandchildren and nine
great grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, until 10 a.m. Tuesday.
