DeForrest Adolf, 81, May City, died Sunday, June 7, 1998, at Marian Health Center, Sioux City.
Funeral services will be today at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, May City, with the Rev. Paul Johnson officiating.
Casket Bearers will be Larry Steinke, Tim Steffen, DeLoy Adolf, Dennis Dallman, Kevin Adolf and Jason Kuger.
Burial will be at Harrison Township Cemetery, May City with Warner Funeral Home, Hartley in charge of arrangements.
DeForrest John Adolf, the son of Walter and Celestia Mesch Adolf, was born November 22, 1916, in rural Hartley. He received his education in country schools in Osceola County.
Following his completion of school, he started to farm in the May City area. He farmed his entire life.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Mr. Adolf was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
He is survived by one sister, Pearl Steinke and her husband Arthur of Spencer; two brothers; Dale Adolf and his wife, Shirley, of Everly; and Derry Adolf and his wife, Mary Ann of Harris.
