Dale William Adolf, the son of Walter and Celestia Mesch Adolf, was born June 1, 1931 in Rural Hartley, IA. He received his early education in country schools in Osceola County, IA.

Following his schooling, Dale entered the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War, he was honorably discharged in 1954.

On December 29, 1953, Dale married Shirley Imhoff in Sioux Falls, SD and they enjoyed 65 years of marriage.

Dale farmed in the May City and Everly, IA areas his entire life.

Dale and Shirley moved in to the town of Everly in 1998. He was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church in Everly and the American Legion. In his retirement, Dale rolled over 46,000 bandages for missions.

Dale passed away suddenly in Spencer on July 9, 2019 at the age of 88.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Daryl and DeForrest and his sister, Pearl.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Adolf of Everly, IA; daughter, Sherri and husband, Tim Steffen of Spencer, IA; son Kevin and wife, Patricia Adolf of Everly, IA; 4 grandchildren: Molly & Geoff Juza, Kim & Chad Willow, Kate Adolf & Austin Pryor and Nicholas & Amanda Drish-Adolf; 4 great grandsons: Daniel, Matthew & David Juza and Nolan Pryor; brother, Derry (MaryAnn) Adolf of Spencer, IA; other relatives and friends.

A memorial fund has been established by the family.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Hope Lutheran Church in Everly. Visitation will begin 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 11th with the family present from 5 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday Evening at the Warner Funeral Home in Everly. Lone Tree Cemetery Everly, Iowa Immediately following the services at the church.

Military Services will be conducted by American Legion Everett Boyles, Jr. Post #414 of Everly, Iowa immediately following the graveside services.
