Clyde Meek, 78, a former resident of the Upland community, died Saturday in Warren, Mich., where he had been living for the past 24 years. Mr. Meek was born in the Upland community October 2, 1883 and farmed there until the death of his wife in 1936. Since that time he had been living in Michigan. Surviving are two sons, Willard Meek of Warren, Mich., and Gaylord Meek of Yankton, S. D., and a sister, Mrs Maude Juon of Upland. Funeral services were held at the Londeen Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Liberty cemetery. Pallbearers were Louis Frohardt, Phillip Dahlstrom, Paul Steiner, Calvin Jones, Charles Thomas and Don Frohardt.
He was Father-in-Law to my Aunt Josephine Kunze Sedberry who was married to Phillip Gaylord Meek.
