Neil Robert Caylor, 58, Ashippun, formernly of Babcock, died Wednesday at Watertown Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness. Services will be at 12:30 pm Saturday at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, Oconomowoc, with burial at 5 pm Saturday at Babcock Cemetery. Mr. Caylor was born April 3, 1916, at Babcock and married Betty Bowden, Sept 24, 1938, at Dubuque, Iowa. They lived at Ashippun for the past 25 years. He was deputy sheriff of Dodge County from 1949 until the time of his death and served as constable of Ashippun for 20 years. He was a partner in Ashippun Service Station and Grocery Store for 23 years, and a member of Wisconsin Law Enforcement Assoc., Hustisford American Legion Post, Ashippun Fireman's Club, Ashippun Businessmen's Association, and served with the Navy during World War II. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs William Kern, Waterown; two sons, Robert, Clinton; and Jon, West Salem; his mother, Mrs Harriet Caylor, Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs Al Knuth, Ashippun, and several grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday until 9 pm and Saturday from 10 am until time of services. Memorials may be designated to the Neil Caylor Memorial Fund in care of the Bank of Ashippun.
