Died in childbirth. Her headstone must be wrong since her stillborn child was born December 18, 1936.

"Mrs. Claude Hiatt Dies at Home Here Death of Local Woman is Result of Child Birth; Rites Sunday Afternoon"

"Mrs. Myrtle Hiatt, 36 years old, wife of (James) Claude Hiatt of Trenton, Missouri, died at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon at 1002 Rural street as the result of the birth of a stillborn child.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Davis Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. J. E. Todd. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Hiatt was a daughter of Phillip Edwin and Mary Susan (Cress) Moman of Horton, Kansas.

She was born Feb. 16, 1900, at Hiawatha, Kansas. In addition to her husband and parents she is survived by four children including Grace, Lorene, Claudia and Richard Hiatt of the home. She also leaves several sisters and brothers, including Boyd William "Bill" Moman of Topeka, Kansas, George Moman of Kalamazoo, Michigan, John "Dewey" "Dude" Moman of Omaha, Nebraska, Ray, Jack, Helen, Florence "Sis" and Lila, all of Horton, Kansas. She was a member of the Christian Church."
