Henry Rogers, 77, died Thursday, March 8, 1990 in Collingsworth General Hospital.
Mr. Rogers was born October 24, 1912 in Batesville, Arkansas. He was the son of Oscar E. Rogers and Nancy Repine Rogers.
He came to the Buck Creek area with his family in 1927. They later moved to the Garden Valley community in Childress County and then moved to Plymouth, in the Samnorwood area.
Mr. Rogers married Louise Montgomery on December 23, 1942 at Dozier. They lived in the Samnorwood area until 1950 when they moved to their farm a short distance west of Wellington. They moved into town in 1986. Mr. Rogers was a member of the Dodson Church of Christ.
Survivors are his wife, Louise, of Wellington; two daughters, Sandra Wheeler and Lillie Rogers both of Amarillo and a son, Eddie Rogers of Amarillo; a brother, E.L. Rogers of Amarillo and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Alan Glenn Weldon.
