Mrs. O.E. Rogers, a county resident for almost 50 years, died in an Amarillo hospital at 5:45 a.m. after a short illness. She had received a broken arm in a fall a short time ago, but was thought to be recovering well until she was stricken ill. She and her husband, the late O.E. Rogers, farmed west of Wellington for many years before retiring and moving to the family home in Wellington. The former Frances Repine, Mrs. Rogers was born in Cedar County Missouri, February 22, 1892. She and Mr. Rogers were married November 5, 1911, at Batesville, Arkansas, and made their home there until coming to Collingsworth County. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving Mrs. Rogers are two sons, E.L. Rogers of Amarillo and Henry Rogers. There are three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Rogers died April 1967.
