Milan--Mrs. Nettie Svestka, 68, died Wednesday night in her home at Ann Arbor. She is a former Milan resident. Friends may call at the Stevens & Bush funeral home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. A. F. Osborn of Ann Arbor officiating. Burial will be in Marble Park Cemetery.

She was born June 5, 1887, in Czechoslovakia and came to the United States in 1907. She was married to James Svestka Sept. 14, 1907, at Cleveland. He died July 25, 1927.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Steven Benedict of Milan, Mrs. Robert Vandre of San Bernardino, Calif., Mrs. John Prohaska of Deerfield and Mrs. Richard Leggett of Ann Arbor; four sons, Laddie of Palmyra, Frank of Detroit, William of Ann Arbor and James of South Lyon; a stepson, Joseph Plumb of Clio; 24 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Antonia "Nettie" Rican was born June 5, 1887 in Hluboká-Krucemburk, a small town in the Pardubický district of Eastern Bohemia. Her parents were Josef Rican and Frantiska Daniel.
