He was known as Bradley. He wrote a poem entitled "Over The Garden Wall" and also wrote music. He was married a short time to a lady who was from Baltimore. He had a house in Dayton, MD, and a truck patch. He also was active in the Dayton Foursquare Church and served as Sunday School Superintendent. My Dad (his nephew) said he was the kindest man he ever knew.

Obituary: "R. Bradley Simpson of Dayton, died on Friday, January 17, 1958 at Mt. Wilson Hospital. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 20 from the residence of his sister, Mrs. Walter O. Brown, Dayton, Md. The Rev. Lyston Klappenberger and the Rev. Roy Balderson officiated. The deceased was a native of Dayton and a son of the late Henry Hamilton and Laura Johnson Simpson. A single man, Mr. Simpson is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Walter O. Brown and Mrs. Annie Earp, of Silver Spring."
