My grandfather. He left AL for adventure and to see the world. Thats why he joined the Navy, then fought in WWI. Was an Electrician by trade. Married 3 times (my grandmother Ellen was the 2nd) and had 11 children. Died in 1942 from having a benign brain tumor removed- did not wake up after. Buried in Liberty Veterans Cemetery in Fresno, CA

My Grandfather, Billy Burks. This was taken in CA in the mountains near Fresno. Note that the license of the car has 1936 on it. He worked as a handyman as well as Electrician to support his family of 7 children and Lavada Alexander Burks (his 3rd and last wife). His legacy and love for life goes on...
