Served in WWI in France. His job was to pick up body parts and put them in bags on the front lines. He came home and married Eula Stapp, they had one child, a daughter, Betty Adele. He then developed mental illness and was confined to the Veterans Hospital in Tuscaloosa, where he eventually died. He was my Grandfather Wm. Antonio Burks older brother. May he rest in peace.
