She was united in marriage to Zimri S. Hain at Agency, Iowa, March 24, 1880 To this union five children were born; Charles, Myrtle, Everett, Olive and Johnny, who died at the age of 3 years.
Her home was in Cedar county, Iowa until 1884, when she moved with her husband to South Dakota. After enduring the hardships of prairie life for twelve ears, they returned to Cedar county, Iowa. Since the death of her husband she has made her home with her two daughters.
Mrs. Hain was converted in early life and joined the M. E. church, later transferring her membership to the M. E. church at Adair, Iowa. She was a member of Purity chapter, O. E. S., of Wilton Junction, Iowa, for several years, in which she took an active part.
She was a kind, loving wife and mother and will be missed by relatives and friends. She is survived by her four children, Charles G. Hain of Fargo, N. D., Mrs. O. E. Weaver of Adair, Iowa, Everett L. Hain of Anaheim, Cal., and Mrs. S. M. Kiser of Wilton Junction, Iowa, and one brother, E. E. Monroe of Mitchell, S. D. Also eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A short service was held at the O. E. Weaver home Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning the body was taken to Wilton Junction, Iowa, where a final service was held at the S. M. Kiser home and interment was in Oakdale cemetery beside her husband Both services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. I. R. Mills.
