I could not find him in my Wapello County Iowa death records book 2 January 1893~March 1902

Son of Felix and Sarah Hoagland Monroe

Felix Monroe, of English descent, and Sarah Hoagland, of Irish descent, were married and lived in Scott County, Indiana. Felix died there at the age of 67 years. Sarah died in Davis County, Iowa at the age of 65 years. They had ten children, three sons and seven daughters as follows: William, Alexander, Susan, Margaret, Mary Hoagland, Ann, Catherine, Sarah, Phoebe, and *John V. Monroe.
