He was born in Ohio (Iowa) and came to Aberdeen in 1890. After working here for a time, he became a Mitchell resident, serving in the employ of the Milwaukee railroad. He resided at Mitchell from 1918 to 1946, when he returned to Aberdeen.
Surviving beside his son are his widow and a daughter, Mrs. C. G. Brandsted, Armenia, N. D., 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Methodist church at a time to be announced.
